Job summary

Amazon’s Global Engineering, Maintenance & Sustainability (GEMS) is seeking Startup Project Manager interns to support our project management function at the Bellevue, WA campus. This on-site role begins Spring 2027 as a 20-hour weekly internship, transitioning to a 12-week full-time schedule in Summer 2027, with potential travel to other centers across the United States.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028
• Residence within 50 miles of Bellevue, WA
• Available to work part-time (20 hours/week) during Spring 2027 (Feb/Mar 2027 – May/June 2027) from Bellevue, WA
• Available to transition to full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks during Summer 2027 (May/June 2027 – July/August 2027) from Bellevue, WA
• Able to travel up to 30% to project sites across the United States during summer months
• Are 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Actively develop project management expertise through on-the-job execution, mentorship, and Amazon training programs
• Partner with program managers and business leaders to secure resources, scope efforts, set milestones, drive delivery, and impact initiatives
• Own program communication and present status to senior leadership
• Anticipate program changes and understand impacts
• Conduct data analysis to identify issues and implement process improvements
• Process procurement requirements and generate purchase orders
• Monitor and resolve customer tickets while maintaining SLAs
• Create and maintain training documentation and SOPs
• Navigate ambiguous environments while delivering results
