Job summary

Nelson Global is launching a satellite manufacturing facility in Oshkosh, WI. The Plant Operations Manager will lead startup, ramp‑up, and day‑to‑day operations spanning production, welding, painting, sandblasting, shipping, quality, and maintenance, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and cost control.

You will partner with corporate leadership and cross‑functional teams to meet production goals, implement SOPs, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations/manufacturing.
5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
Strong project management and cross‑functional collaboration.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Lead startup, commissioning, and production ramp‑up for the facility.
Monitor progress, address risks, delays, and resource constraints.
Ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives are met.
Manage fabrication, welding, assembly, painting, and finishing operations.
Develop SOPs, work instructions, and operational controls.
Recruit, coach, and develop production supervisors and hourly staff.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and ensure equipment readiness.
