Job summary

First Citizens is seeking candidates for a comprehensive rotational development and training program. You will participate in classroom instruction, case-study work, and live assignments with experienced facilitators and business leaders.

You will build foundational business, financial, and credit skills while learning about the innovation economy and diverse company life stages. You will support in developing bespoke financial solutions for startups, founders, and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree earned before start date preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Passing grade in at least one finance, accounting, and/or economics course.
• Interest or basic knowledge in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, technology, or innovation.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
• Ability to apply feedback and maintain professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a rotational development and training program.
• Complete classroom-style instruction, case-study exercises, and live work with facilitators and leaders.
• Develop foundational business, financial, and credit skills.
• Learn about the innovation economy and business models across company life stages.
• Develop and deliver bespoke financial solutions for startups, founders, investors, and public companies.
• Assist in managing client portfolios and relationships; assess and monitor credit risk.
• Collaborate with team members to complete meaningful work and assume increasing responsibility.
