Job summary

Monarch Quantum, based in San Diego, CA, is looking for an Electrical Engineer 3 to join a fast-paced startup environment. You will design, analyze and test analog and mixed-signal circuits, and help establish engineering practices as we scale.

We seek a bachelor’s degree in EE with at least 5 years of experience, including ADC/DAC, DC-DC controllers, and RF knowledge. Proficiency in Altium Designer is a plus. The role offers a salary range of $125,000 to $175,000 and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in start-up or tech environment.
• Experience with analog circuit design, ADC/DAC, and DC-DC controllers.
• RF design experience and RF layout are a plus.
• Experience with low-noise design and testing.
• Proficient in Altium Designer.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and in a team while over communicating with the manager, project engineer and teammates. Mentors junior engineers.
• Execute complex engineering tasks involving planning, preparation, data collection and analysis and decision-making with peer reviews and documentation.
• Use tenacity and discipline to ensure accuracy of execution Schedule, data quality/integrity, and conformance to best practices.
• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems.
• Document design architecture and formal design synthesis including performance analysis.
• Model and simulate performance of electrical circuits.
• Electrical schematic capture and BOM maintenance.
• PCB layout and production of PCB CAM files.
• Testing and diagnosis of designs and verification of goals.
• Root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop prototypes to retire development risks.
• Prepare test plans for test implementation and reporting.
