Job summary

Daisy Brand LLC is opening a brand-new manufacturing facility in Boone, Iowa. As part of the start-up team, you will undergo paid training at our established plants nationwide, work alongside Engineering during installation, and begin at the new site with deep knowledge of the facility.

Maintenance Technicians will ensure safe, efficient operation of processing, packaging, and utilities, troubleshooting automated equipment and cooperating with Engineering and Operations to meet start-up goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; additional technical certifications preferred.
• Experience in a food or dairy production environment preferred.
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, or plant start-up a plus.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) preferred.
• Ability to meet the travel requirements outlined above for start-up crew positions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain highly technical and automated equipment, including fillers, case packers, palletizers, and conveyors.
• Maintain process systems and building utilities, including ammonia refrigeration equipment, high-pressure boilers, air compressors, and wastewater systems.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and vertical start-up of the new facility in partnership with Engineering.
• Collaborate and problem-solve daily with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations.
• Follow Daisy Brand food safety and quality protocols, GMPs, housekeeping, and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned, including general building maintenance.
