Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Startup Solutions Architecture team is seeking technically skilled builders to work with early stage startups to help them deploy scalable, secure cloud architectures and make pragmatic decisions.

In this role, you’ll engage directly with customers, define plans with account teams, share knowledge in sessions, and help create content for the broader startup community while staying current with AWS services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with startup customers to provide them with technical advocacy as they build their products in the cloud. Ensure that they are spending as little time and money as possible doing so
• Create plans, in conjunction with other members of customer account teams, to define how you will help your customers with their cloud needs
• Share your technical knowledge broadly by participating in select, startup-focused, one-to-few and one-to-many sessions with larger groups of customers
• Work with other teams at AWS (e.g. marketing, training) to contribute to the creation of content that can be delivered to the broader startup community at scale (e.g. on-line videos, and other digital content)
• Work closely with startup customers to understand their technical requirements, business objectives, and growth plans, and then architect AWS-based solutions that align with their goals.
• Lead technical discussions, present best practices, and guide startups on AWS architecture, services, and solutions to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Support to provide comprehensive solutions to startups, addressing their specific needs and driving successful outcomes.
• Design and implement proof-of-concepts (POCs) and reference architectures to showcase the value of AWS services and demonstrate their potential impact on the customer's business.
• Stay up-to-date with AWS services, industry trends, and best practices, share this knowledge within the team, and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in workshops, webinars, and events to evangelize AWS solutions for startups and contribute to the growth of the AWS startup ecosystem.
