Job summary

Century Golf Partners Management in La Quinta, CA seeks a seasonal Starter/Players Assistant to warmly welcome members and guests on the golf course and help maintain pace and decorum. This part-time seasonal position runs October to May, subject to business needs.

The ideal candidate will have golf knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work early or late shifts, with a friendly, reliable, and team-oriented approach to daily operations on the course.

Qualifications

• Must have golf knowledge and experience (golf course etiquette, pace-of-play & care of the course).
• Punctuality ; Friendly and outgoing personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills and understanding
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Can work early shifts (starting at 6:00am) or closing shifts (based on Sunset)

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests on the first tee or tenth tee. Inform them of important golf course information prior to teeing off (dress code, course conditions and restrictions, hole location, etc.) Confirm guest registration prior to teeing off.
• Monitor the following when scheduled to be a ranger on the golf course:
• - Ensure good pace-of-play.
• - Enforce golf course policy: dress code, golf car usage, etc.
• - Prevent unauthorized persons from using facilities.
• Care of the Golf Course: from time-to-time rake bunkers, fix ball marks, sweep tee mats, etc.
• Any other necessary duties that aid the health and care of players and courses.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a fast-paced position that involves welcoming and assisting members and guests on the golf course. A Starter / Players Assistant monitors pace of play and golf course decorum. Successful candidates will display a hard work ethic and the ability to interact with our members and guests in a friendly manner.

This is a part-time seasonal position. Time Period: October to May, subject to business needs.
