Job summary

Indian Boundary Golf Course in Chicago, IL is seeking a Part-time Starter/Cart Services Attendant to greet golfers, manage the starter stand, and help ensure groups tee off on time. Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance
• Provide information regarding the golf course, play time and other golf related issues
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite the check-in process
• Verify that all revenues have been properly recorded by inspecting receipts for all players before they begin play on the golf course
• Keep golf shop personnel informed regarding pace of play off the first tee
• Supply guests with scorecards, pencils and other items if needed
• Advise guests of course conditions and expected pace of play
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Overview

Part-time Starter/Cart Services Attendant role at Indian Boundary Golf Course. The position involves working the starter stand, welcoming golfers, helping ensure groups tee off on time, maintaining a respectful and professional environment for guests, and maintaining the fleet of carts during the shift. Duties also include pulling carts up for golfers before tee off and cleaning and gassing carts when they return from the course.

Experience Required

• Must have a valid driver's license if driving golf cars or driving range equipment
• Must have a strong work ethic
• Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
• Must be organized and able to work well in a fast paced environment
• Must have strong customer/guest orientation
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred
