Job summary

Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA seeks a friendly Golf Cart Attendant to prepare and distribute carts for daily play. You will assist guests, guide them to the pro shop and starter, and help with range services, while maintaining clean carts and storage areas.

The role requires strong customer service, a basic knowledge of golf, and the ability to operate golf carts and related equipment safely. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

Job description

Overview: This position is responsible for preparing and distributing golf carts to customers during the golf season based on business levels. Reports to Director of Golf and professional staff.

Responsibilities:

• Staging and breaking down carts.
• Towing, cleaning and preparing carts for daily play and storage.
• Directing and assisting guests to pro shop, starter, practice range and first tee.
• Performing practice range services.
• Tagging and cleaning golf clubs before placing in storage.
• Assisting members and guests after they play.
• Assisting cart fleet coordinator with cart maintenance responsibilities.
• Maintaining cleanliness in all storage and guest areas of the golf operations.
• Handling requests of guests and staff.
• Adhering to policies and procedures and service standards.
• Assisting professional staff.
• Assisting the Starter.
• Distributing and keeping rental sets clean and in proper order.
• Checking in rental sets in starter's absence on log.
• Communicating pertinent information with the staff and POD.
• Providing exceptional guest service
• Assisting with tournament set up as required working well with the group
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Possess basic knowledge of services provided by Kingsmill.
• Must have professional presentation and strong customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate with guests and respond to questions about the course in a friendly manner possessing a knowledge of golf
• Ability to operate a golf cart, four-wheel drive jeep and driving range picker
• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 90 pounds, stand, bend, stoop and to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc. including prolonged exposure to sunlight for up to eight hour shift
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Valid State Drivers' License
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
