Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Welder for the Starship program on the night shift at our South Texas Starbase facility. You will join an elite team to build and weld large assemblies, structural stands, piping, and launch pad infrastructure for Starship campaigns.

Responsibilities include welding FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum; reading drawings; collaborating with the lead welder; and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 2+ years of welding experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW or FCAW
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete welding assignments for site structures, stands, piping, and fluid systems
• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW on various metals
• Fit, cut, and prepare components to specifications
• Review drawings with lead welder to select procedures and materials
• Ensure welds comply with AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 and maintain safety standards
