Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Welder for the Starship program on the night shift at the Texas site. You will work with an elite fabricator team to build and upgrade launch pad structures, process piping, and large assemblies.

Responsibilities include welding with FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, reading drawings, and ensuring quality per AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3. The role requires travel up to 20% and physical capability for demanding shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 2+ years of experience in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, or FCAW (college welding program counts).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow procedures.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete welding assignments for construction, repair, and upgrade of stands and launch pad structures.
• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Cut, fit, and fabricate components to specified dimensions.
• Collaborate with lead welder to ensure proper procedures and materials.
• Review drawings to plan welding operations when procedures are unavailable.
• Inspect welds per AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 with proper training.
