Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Welder for night shift at our South Texas facility to build and maintain launch infrastructure. You’ll work with a skilled team to fabricate, weld, and assemble components for launch pad systems and support structures.

The role requires experience with SMAW, GTAW, FCAW and GMAW, plus blueprints and safety compliance. Expect a fast-paced environment with 5 PM–5 AM shifts and up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years welding experience in SMAW/GMAW/GTAW/FCAW, including college programs acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Complete welding assignments for construction, repair and upgrade of structural stands and launch pad systems.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW.
• Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to precise dimensions.
• Collaborate with lead welder to ensure correct procedures, materials and filler sizes.
• Review engineering drawings to plan welding operations when procedures are not specified.
• Use hand welding and related equipment to assemble structural forms and launch pad systems.
• Inspect welds per AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 with proper training.
• Obtain and maintain required licenses or certifications as needed.
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations.
