Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a TEST ENGINEER (STARSHIP DEVELOPMENT) to join the Development Test team supporting Starship, Dragon, Falcon, and Starlink programs. You will design and execute engine and component tests to evaluate hardware performance and survivability during missions.

You will own test campaigns from plan creation to data review, guide technicians to fabricate test articles and stand equipment, and develop procedures, sequences, and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical or related engineering field.
• 1+ years of hands-on testing experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to work extended hours and shifts.
• ITAR or export compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engine and component tests to evaluate hardware performance.
• Own test campaigns from plan to data review and stand design.
• Lead technicians to fabricate test articles and stand equipment.
• Develop test procedures, sequences and software.
• Operate DAQ and control systems and related instrumentation.
• Work with high-pressure fluids and cryogenics during testing.
• Automate repetitive tests to improve safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with design engineers to resolve test stand issues.
