Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking a Production Operations Engineer to lead functional checkouts and hazardous testing of Starship/Super Heavy vehicles, validating propellant, electrical, and integrated systems against design intent.

You will develop first-article procedures, establish test criteria, perform pressurized and sensor checkouts, and drive real-time troubleshooting with field teams to improve safety and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of project and/or professional experience with fluid systems.
• Experience creating, reading, and interpreting electrical and fluid schematics.
• Systems engineering experience with multi-disciplinary integrated systems.
• Hands-on build experience.
• Experience with ground control systems for remote operations and instrumentation feedback.

Responsibilities

• Directly support functional checkouts of Starship/Superheavy vehicles.
• Establish test criteria and pass/fail requirements for integrated vehicle checkouts.
• Improve testing efficiency and safety of vehicle testing.
• Lead hazardous testing operations to validate vehicle build and systems.
• Perform pressurized and electrical/sensor checkouts via control console.
• Develop procedures for first-article validation.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in real time and drive corrective actions.
• Interface with engineering and technicians in the field.
• Develop understanding of vehicle construction and avionics/propulsion architecture.
