Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Build Supervisor (Starship) for the night shift to lead a team of fabricators, welders, and technicians on the Starship and Super Heavy primary and secondary structures. You will translate engineering direction into disciplined on-site execution, build, retain, and manage staff, and ensure timely progression through multi-shift schedules.

As a pivotal on-site leader, you will drive productivity, safety, and quality while fostering a productive, fun, and hard-working culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in final assembly production (aviation/aerospace/mechanical systems).
• Experience leading a team or project for 2+ years.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop floor activity, including daily schedules and workflow.
• Lead and manage a staff of ~30 technicians including performance management tasks.
• Review work instructions and make change recommendations when needed.
• Identify training needs and develop training programs.
• Provide data and reporting to support metrics and improvement objectives.
• Monitor labor hours and overtime and implement improvement plans.
