Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mission Manager (Starshield) to serve as the main technical and programmatic point of contact for customers. You will coordinate internal SpaceX personnel across mission planning, integration, testing, and verification to rapidly deploy solutions that meet complex requirements.

You will work with a cross-disciplinary team in a fast-paced startup-like environment, with responsibilities spanning studies through successful launches and on-orbit activation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline required.
• 5+ years in program/project management, systems engineering, or operations.
• 2+ years of experience with US government projects or acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all programmatic aspects from contract award through integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations.
• Support proposal efforts aligning with long-term strategic vision and objectives.
• Be primary customer contact, resolve issues, negotiate requirements, and maintain relationships.
• Plan and lead customer reviews with cross-company coordination and technical content briefing.
• Collaborate with product engineering to understand vehicle readiness and impact on launch dates.
