Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Lead Hardware Reliability Engineer (Starshield) to build and lead a hardware reliability team for Starshield production. You will identify, analyze, and resolve hardware and process failures to improve robustness, yield, and documentation of subassemblies such as PCBA, batteries, solar arrays, and mechanical assemblies.

You will partner with manufacturing, design, quality, and supply chain to raise first-pass yield, lead containment for nonconforming hardware,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and relevant field experience.
• 3+ years in hardware development, manufacturing, failure analysis, or reliability.
• 1+ year leading a project, team, or people.

Responsibilities

• Lead and hire a hardware reliability team for Starshield production.
• Mentor teams and drive root cause investigations for subassemblies.
• Align goals with production to achieve reliability, yield, and rate targets.
• Develop and implement data-driven improvements to processes.
• Lead containment for nonconforming hardware and coordinate disposition.
