Job summary

2020 Companies, in partnership with Starlink, is hiring part-time Retail Sales & Activation Specialists for Best Buy in Odessa, TX. You will assist shoppers, explain Starlink residential and mobile internet options, and act as a product expert to ensure an engaging shopping experience.

The position offers 16-20 hours weekly, with Fridays through Sundays required, from 7/27/26 to 11/01/26. Weekly pay includes a performance bonus; paid training and opportunities for continued program work are

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in sales, electronics, retail, telecom, or marketing.
• Ability to engage, demonstrate, and engage customers in the sales process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and demonstrate Starlink services to meet internet needs.
• Build trust by understanding customer needs and recommending the best Starlink service.
• Represent Starlink and 2020 Companies with professionalism to store staff and customers.
• Hit sales targets and contribute to team success.
• Collaborate with retail staff and leaders to foster a positive environment.
• Track customer interactions and submit daily reports via mobile device.
• Note: weekend shifts are a regular part of the schedule.

• Pay: $20/hr. base pay
• Bonus: Up to $2/hr. performance bonus
• Total: Up to $22/hr. earning potential

In this exciting role, you will work closely with retail shoppers to recommend the perfect Starlink residential and mobile internet products to meet their unique needs. You will be the subject matter expert for customers seeking information on Starlink's services, ensuring they have an interactive and informative shopping experience. Building relationships within a retail environment and having a technology-first mindset are key as you explain the benefits of Starlink satellite internet. Our team fully provides all technology training.

Job Description

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• A minimum of six months of experience in sales, electronics, retail, telecom, or marketing is preferred
• The ability to engage, demonstrate, and engage customers in the sales process is necessary
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential
• Impeccable integrity and a genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations are crucial
• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Availability to work weekends
• Own a smartphone with the current Apple iOS software or current Android software
• Reliable transportation to arrive on time for scheduled visits
