Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer (Starlink) in Bastrop, TX to design and optimize factories producing Starlink hardware at scale. You will own floor layouts, capacity studies, and product flow, coordinating with engineers, production, and contractors to meet aggressive production targets.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, MES, inventory control, and process improvements across high-volume environments. Onsite work in Bastrop is required, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, industrial, or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial project management (collegiate projects qualify).

Responsibilities

• Develop user terminal production factory design on a physical and digital level, including building requirements and part flow.
• Own floor layouts, capacity studies, and product flow analysis to meet production targets.
• Coordinate and schedule construction activities with internal teams and external contractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for capital projects.
• Define new business processes and systems for high-volume production and traceability.
• Act as SME in Starlink production processes to enable data gathering and troubleshooting.
• Implement data acquisition and tracking for production and quality metrics.
