Job summary

SpaceX, a leader in space technology, seeks a GNC Engineer for Starlink controls in Redmond. You will design and analyze closed-loop control systems for satellites, implement flight code, and deploy features in space.

Expect work on high‑impact attitude control, state estimation, and embedded software with C++ and MATLAB. You will build and validate simulations, support hardware iteration, and contribute to a fast-paced, startup‑like environment in a growing space company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, physics or an engineering discipline.
• Software development experience in C++.
• Experience with design and analysis of closed loop control systems.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, implementation of electromechanical control systems such as solar array actuators and antenna gimbals.
• Design, analysis, implementation of satellite attitude control and momentum management systems.
• Develop high fidelity simulations using C++, Python and MATLAB; integrate into analysis tools.
• Implement, validate, and deploy production software (C++) for control systems.
• Provide engineering and data review support for hardware development and flight software.
