Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a control systems engineer for the Starlink GNC team in Redmond, WA. You will apply dynamics and closed-loop controls to achieve precise pointing on satellites and propulsion systems, including simulation, flight code, and deployment of features in space.

The role involves hardware support, firmware bringup, and production software development using C++ and Python. We value strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced startup atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, physics or an engineering discipline.
• Software development experience in C++.
• Experience with design and analysis of closed loop control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, and implementation of electromechanical control systems.
• Design, analysis, and implementation of satellite attitude control and momentum management systems.
• Development and maintenance of high-fidelity simulations using C++, Python, MATLAB.
