Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics System Engineer for HITL (STARFALL) to develop and validate HITL systems that bring avionics hardware together with software in a full test environment. You will build automation in Python to deploy software to avionics boxes and PXI chassis, and design harnessing to connect avionics boxes for end-to-end validation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, CS or physics and 1+ years in hardware development or electronics test engineering, plus Python

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or physics.
• 1+ years of Python programming experience.
• Experience designing avionics systems and harnessing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop HITL systems for in-house avionics hardware products.
• Develop software to monitor and validate HITL performance.
• Develop Python automation to deploy software to avionics boxes and PXI chassis.
• Design HITL harnessing connecting avionics boxes to the flight vehicle.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and repair HITL hardware issues on a tight schedule.
