Basic Purpose:
The Starbucks Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily store operations by leading a team of baristas, ensuring a consistently high level of customer service, and maintaining Starbucks’ operational standards. This role balances supervisory responsibilities with hands-on service, acting as the leader on duty to guide the team, resolve customer concerns, and ensure smooth café operations.
Organizational Scope:
The Shift Supervisor works closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily performance of the café. This position leads and motivates team members during assigned shifts, provides training and guidance, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and health regulations. The Shift Supervisor fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, driving both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking during shifts. Must be able to operate café equipment such as espresso machines and blenders safely. The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, bend, and reach as needed. Clear verbal communication is required to interact with customers and team members.
