Job summary

The Harrison Group, Inc. in Ocean City, MD, is seeking a friendly barista and customer service associate. You will prepare hot and cold beverages, describe products, handle payments, and assist with light food service in a fast-paced setting.

We are looking for someone with strong communication, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Training provided; early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall frequent patrons’ faces, names, and preferences.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages to patrons, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods, including sandwiches.
• Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stock supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The pay range for this role is:

15.00-18.00USD per hour (Ocean City, MD)
