Ensure service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation. Monitor department conditions and maintain standards. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities
  1. Increase sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products.
  2. Assist in supervising and directing department personnel to ensure quality customer service.
  3. Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates according to duty rosters.
  4. Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor conditions and appearance.
  5. Monitor product code dates and rotation, remove out-of-date products.
  6. Hold personnel accountable for their duties and responsibilities.
  7. Create department schedules, considering requests, bids, and business needs.
  8. Assist customers with specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and appeal of customer service areas and equipment.
  10. Demonstrate Customer 1st Behavior in customer interactions.
  11. Prepare various customer beverage orders, including espresso drinks.
  12. Adhere to all Starbucks programs, policies, and promotions.
  13. Follow store policies for operational flow at each station.
  14. Perform cleaning tasks per standards and work as part of the team.
  15. Present professionally and communicate clearly with customers and partners.
  16. Perform equipment maintenance as per preventative checklists.
  17. Follow cash handling and register policies.
  18. Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
  19. Communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  20. Maintain professionalism, tact, and courtesy in all interactions.
  21. Adhere to company policies on dress, grooming, sanitation, and harassment-free environment.
  22. Perform any additional duties assigned.
  23. Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments.
  24. Manage conflicts in a nonconfrontational, cooperative manner.
  25. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  26. Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
  27. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  28. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
Minimum
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly, courteously, and tactfully.
  • Certified and trained barista.
