What You’ll Do

As the General Manager of a quick service restaurant (QSR), you will be responsible for managing the overall day-to-day operations and profitability of a food and beverage concept located inside of a travel plaza on a major highway. This position involves operating an assigned QSR and leading a dedicated team to achieve or exceed targeted financial and performance metrics.

  • Lead the daily activities of associates and managers within the QSR to meet or exceed sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food safety standards.
  • Maintain operating budgets, inventory controls, food and labor costs, gross profit, and reporting.
  • Ensure the QSR consistently meets or exceeds brand standards and food safety requirements.
  • Foster an engaging work culture of learning, development, and recognition.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a strong team to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Handle hiring, coaching, training, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Monitor and enforce cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Address customer needs and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner to maintain positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with support partners such as Brand Partners, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Maintenance.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with vendors, community members, and business partners.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong management, delegation, and issue resolution skills; ability to multitask.
  • Judgment and discretion in resolving questions and problems.
  • Proven ability to drive profitable growth while enhancing customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a quick service restaurant.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule of approximately 50 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, lift, and carry at least 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel or meetings to support other locations.
