Responsibilities include:

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve company/store goals
• Prepare beverage selections according to recipes and standards, and to customer requests using proper equipment; process transactions following company best practices
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products for which they inquire; inform customers of coffee shop specials
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered and the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customer satisfaction
• Use all equipment in the coffee shop according to guidelines; prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions
• Properly use kitchen equipment such as espresso machines, blenders, and steamers
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; report discrepancies
• Stay current with promotions and advertising
• Reinforce safety programs, adhere to food safety regulations, and report safety risks or illegal activities
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues
• Report customer or employee accidents and safety concerns
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Salary Range: $16.70 - $21.27
