Job summary

Qualifications

2+ years of welding experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, or FCAW.
Experience from a college welding program qualifies.
Capable of reading engineering drawings and applying AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 standards.
Must be able to obtain and maintain internal licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required.

Responsibilities

Complete welding assignments and procedures for construction and repair of site structural stands.
Cut, trim, or scarf metal objects; fabricate components to dimensions.
Under supervision, analyze drawings to plan welding operations.
Weld components to assemble structural forms using hand welding and flame-cutting tools.
Visually inspect welds per AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 with proper training.
Travel to different sites up to 20% as needed.
Maintain safe, efficient work environment and adapt to changing program needs.
Perform related duties to support Starbase testing campaigns.
