Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Welder, Ground Support Equipment at Starbase, TX, to build, maintain and upgrade structural and fluid systems for rocket testing campaigns. You will join an elite fabricator team to rapidly assemble large structures for Starship testing at our South Texas facility.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, fabricating components, and welding to AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 standards under supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency.
2+ years of experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW or FCAW.

Responsibilities

Complete welding assignments and procedures for construction and repair of site structural stands on time, safely, and professionally.
Cut, trim, or scarf metal objects; fabricate components to dimensions for building and assembling test site structures.
Under supervision, analyze drawings and specs to plan welding operations where procedures are unavailable.
Use hand welding and flame-cutting equipment to weld metal components for structural forms.
Visually inspect welds per AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 with proper training.
Obtain and maintain internal licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required.
Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and cooperate with team.
Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Perform related duties to ensure an efficient workspace.
