Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer for Starbase Infrastructure in Texas. You will standardize how work is requested, planned, and closed across infrastructure shops, and apply Warp/Foundation/Loto/MOC standards to improve site operations.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in industrial plants or utilities, plus experience with CMMS tools like Maximo or SAP PM, and the ability to translate design packages into actionable procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in an engineering discipline required.
• 1+ years in industrial plant, utilities, or maintenance engineering.
• 2+ years in process plant or 24/7 facilities preferred.
• Hands-on work management tools experience (Maximo, SAP PM).
• Reading P&IDs and electrical diagrams is a plus.
• Knowledge of LOTO, MOC, confined space, energized systems.

Responsibilities

• Standardize how work is requested, planned, executed, and closed across infrastructure shops.
• Adopt site standards (Warp, Foundation, LOTO, MOC) and pull in processes where suitable.
• Choose fixes—software/AI, physical change, or personnel standard—and justify the lever.
• Define and improve the work-management system (WOs, PMs, PdM backlog).
• Provide visibility to shops: estimates vs actuals, remaining hours, blockers.
• Own commissioning and readiness for new/modified systems from punch lists to turnover.
• Translate design packages into isolation plans, LOTO, and work instructions.
• Stand up asset identity for equipment and its PMs, WOs location.
• Quantify shop metrics and brief leadership on progress.
• Write procedures that shops can run independently.
