Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Program (SLP) – Finance is a two-year, rotation-based program designed to accelerate early-career finance professionals. The program offers four 6-month rotations across core finance functions, exposure to FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Operations/Supply Chain Finance, and on-site experiences at manufacturing plants or distribution centers.

It includes mentorship, structured learning, and cross-functional collaboration to develop leadership and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business Field.
• Prior internship(s) in Corporate Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics.
• Willingness to rotate every 6 months within Finance and possibly new location in the U.S.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the business.
• Experience using Excel, Access, Power BI and other MS Office applications.

Finance SLPs work in multiple rotations over two years within Finance across the United States. Each rotation has project assignments that allow participants to become familiar with how we do business and contribute to the success of that facility. The Job:

As a part of the Finance track of the SLP Program, you can expect:

• Four 6-month rotations across core finance functions
• Exposure to FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Operations/Supply Chain Finance
• One on-site experience in one of our manufacturing plants or distribution centers
• Structured learning and development curriculum
• Mentorship and networking opportunities
• Participate in a blend of day-to-day tasks and project work in your rotations... including, but not limited to: Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities across assigned rotations
• Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and business performance reporting to support decision-making
• Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, supply chain, and commercial leaders
• Develop insights and recommendations using financial data, business trends, and key performance indicators
• Contribute to projects focused on business priorities, process improvement, and operational efficiency
• Prepare presentations and communicate findings to finance leadership and business stakeholders
• Present rotation learnings, project outcomes, and recommendations to senior leadership throughout the program

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business Field.
• Prior internship(s) in Corporate Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics.
• Willingness to rotate every 6 months to a new area within Finance and possibly new location (manufacturing or distribution site within the U.S.)
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business including senior management.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI and other applications in the Microsoft Office Suite... and a desire to master these skills!
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel.
• 0-3 years of professional work experience, internship experience included.
