Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree with 14–20+ years of relevant experience.
• Desired: Master’s degree with 12–18+ years of relevant experience.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance is required or eligible.
• Experience with JASSM and long-range weapons employment is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance and data-driven decision support to Air Force senior leaders on long-range weapons.
• Establish and leverage governance structures to enable analytics, AI readiness, and mission-critical outcomes.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and executive briefs for senior officers.
• Bridge business, technology, compliance, and personnel to operationalize enterprise data and governance.
• Develop requirements for long-range weapons systems and support stand-off weapons employment.
• Coordinate with MAJCOM and Air Operational Centers on future capabilities and plans.
• Facilitate information exchange from MAJCOM to operational analysis on survivability topics.

Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly experienced Standoff Weapons Planner.

This position is for an experienced MAJCOM Senior Staff Officer liaison. The candidate will serve as a liaison for a division in the Armament Directorate on Eglin AFB and Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) at Barksdale AFB and other organizations of interest to EBJ and its mission.

This position requires 100% in-person work at Barksdale AFB, LA.

The candidate shall have Air Force, Army, and/or Navy operational experience in the implementation of long-range weapons. Candidate shall be a highly motivated, self-starter, able to work in a highly classified environment with minimal government oversight and direction on day one. Candidate shall be able to perform in a highly dynamic work environment, interface, and effectively communicate.

Responsibilities

• Have expertise in strategic enterprise architecture and governance to assist Air Force General Officers and Senior leaders with data-driven decision-making across complex, highly regulated environments.
• Have a proven record of establishing governance structures, standards, and operating models that unlock trusted data for analytics, AI readiness, and mission critical outcomes.
• Be a trusted advisor to Air Force senior leaders, skilled at translating complex technical, operational, and organizational data into actionable insights, policies, and deliver executive decision briefings.
• Be adept at bridging business, technology, compliance, and people to operationalize enterprise-wide data and AI governance with integrity, accountability, and sustained adoption.
• Have expert knowledge of and expertise in requirements development for long-range weapons systems and have experience with stand-off weapons employment. Have experience with the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used in long-range precision strike operations; ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory directives, and meeting commander's intent.
• Coordinate, support, evaluate and provide feedback to senior staff on current and future capabilities required for developing and planning long-range precision strike operations.
• Facilitate the coordination between Theater Operations Commands and Air Operational Centers on all future operational plans.
• Facilitate timely information exchange from the MAJCOM to operational analysis efforts on survivability related topics and activities.

Qualifications

• Candidate shall have experience, knowledge and understanding of AFGSC and ACC related weapons and technologies. Knowledge of and relevant experience with the employment of and mission planning for the Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) is highly desired.
• Candidate must have a strong ability to work with minimal oversight and have demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills. Additionally, the candidate must have good analytic skills, be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment, and have strong verbal and written.
• USAF Weapons School, flight test or similar experience is required.
