Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Stand-Up Forklift Operator for a 3rd shift in the Philadelphia area. The role runs Monday through Friday from 12:00am to 8:00am, with both stand-up and sit-down forklift experience required.

You will stack, move and ship goods, scan materials with an RF scanner, and use JDE and courier software to complete orders while upholding safety and cGMP standards. Full benefits and union membership accompany employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of stand-up and sit-down forklift experience.
• Forklift certification required for stand-up and sit-down operation.
• Must have basic math skills and ability to perform basic computer tasks.
• Fluent reading, writing and comprehension for professional use.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets.
• Secure loads to the machine for safe transport within the facility.
• Scan materials with an RF scanner for inventory accuracy.
• Process orders, pick, pack and assist shipping using JDE and courier software.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and related equipment safely.
• Record movements of material manually and electronically.
• Support staging, issuing and delivery of work orders.
• Perform quality control and maintain housekeeping and safety standards.

Position Title: Stand‑Up Forklift Operator

Wage: $22.00 per hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: Monday through Friday; 12:00am - 8:00am

This role requires a minimum of one year of both stand-up and sit down forklift experience.

Stand‑Up and Sit‑Down Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets


• Secure loads to the machine to ensure operational efficiency and transport to different locations within the facility


• Correctly scan materials with an RF scanner for inventory purposes


• Process distribution orders for site or depot shipments. This includes the picking, packaging and shipping of supplies using both JDE and courier software for dispatch


• Maneuver a forklift (either a standard electric \"sit down\" fork truck or a double reach \"stand up\" material handling truck), electric pallet jack, and other material handling equipment safely, expediently, skillfully, while transporting full or partial pallet loads of material throughout the plant, and into/out of rack fixtures


• Accurately record, both manually and electronically, the movements of material


• Perform the staging, issuance and delivery of work orders for commercial production


• Perform quality control, ensuring that only undamaged products are sent out


• Adhere to housekeeping and safety management standards


• Adhere to cGMP and GCP policies, procedures, rules

Stand‑Up and Sit‑Down Forklift Operator Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent


• At least one year of experience operating stand-up forklifts


• Forklift certification and the ability to drive a sit-down and standup forklift


• Basic mathematical skills


• Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs


• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs


• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization


• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms


• Ability to lift routinely, up to 50 pounds


• Ability to work overtime and/or weekend work


• Excellent attendance

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must not reside in New Jersey
