Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Stand-Up Forklift Operator for 1st shift (Friday to Sunday, 5am–5pm). You will safely receive, ship, transfer and store raw materials, packaging, and finished products using powered industrial trucks, while maintaining inventory quality and supporting continuous production.

You must have 1–2 years of forklift experience, basic math, computer and inventory scanning knowledge, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must obtain industrial truck certification and comply with OSHA standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication with team, management, customers and vendors.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of computer and inventory scanning systems; good math skills.
• 1–2 years of experience operating hi-lo, stand-up forklift, power jack and shrink wrap equipment in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret written and verbal directions in a safe, productive manner in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, ships, transfers and stores materials using powered industrial trucks in a safe manner.
• Maintains quality of perishable items and inventories in warehouse.
• Replenishes supplies to production areas to ensure continuous production.
• Unloads inbound materials, inspects containers for damage and documents them accurately.
• Stores bulk items in designated areas and returns production materials to racks.
• Prepares finished pallets for shipping and seals trailers after loading.
• Keeps labeling accurate and inventories items in the system.
• Trains new and current employees on procedures and responsibilities.
• Fills in for other warehouse staff when necessary.
