Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Kentucky is seeking a Stand-Up Forklift Operator to receive, ship, transfer and store materials in a climate-controlled facility. The role ensures product quality, inventories and continuous production, with a first shift Friday–Sunday 5am–5pm and a pay rate of $23.29 per hour.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, palletizing, inventory accuracy, labeling, and training new staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain industrial truck and lift certification and safely operate per OSHA standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively - verbally & written - to Team Members, Management, Customers and Vendors.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of computer and inventory systems and good math skills are required.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating hi-lo, stand-up forklift, power jack and shrink wrap equipment in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal directions while working safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Practice integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members and visitors.
• Ensure receipt of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
• Replenish supplies of packaging and raw materials to production areas as needed.
• Unload inbound materials and inspect containers for damage and document accurately.
• Store all bulk warehoused items safely and accurately in designated areas.
• Return production materials to appropriate warehouse racks after use.
• Wrap and prepare finished product pallets for shipping.
• Rotate raw and packaging materials upon receipt and when returning to storage after use.
• Ensure all raw materials containers are properly labeled, stored appropriately and inventoried in system accurately.
• Identify products to be shipped, verify label and codes, load appropriate amount onto trucks to be shipped.
• Enter information for inventory of products corresponding to amount received and shipped accurately and timely using computer equipment.
• Determine labeling requirements and ensure accuracy.
• Seal trailers for shipment after product loaded and final verification process completed.
• Effectively and thoroughly trains new and current employees on proper procedures and functions of position.
• Fills in for other Warehousers when necessary.
• Regular Attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management
