Job summary

Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a stand-up forklift operator to safely operate the forklift and perform warehouse duties. You will handle pallets, move materials, and maintain organized storage while assisting with inventory and reporting issues to the supervisor.

The role requires ability to read safety rules, perform basic math, and carry out written or spoken instructions. Comprehensive benefits and a stable work environment are provided.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
• Three to six months of related experience, or a two-year technical degree with 3-5 years of related field experience.
• Able to read and understand safety rules, operation, maintenance and procedure manuals.
• Ability to operate stand-up forklift and use measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklift safely and perform warehouse and material handling duties.
• Drive forklift and control lifting apparatus by levers and pedals.
• Position forks under pallets, transport loads, and stack materials.
• Maintain organized storage by size and grade for easy retrieval.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply others as needed.
• Inspect materials for damage or shortages and report findings.
• Load or unload materials onto pallets or lifting devices.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance such as lubrication and battery charging.
