Job summary

Zep Inc. is seeking a Stand up/Reach Lift Truck Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage and shipment of products at our Illinois distribution facility.

You will off-load inbound materials, receive, put-away, replenish, pick orders, and load outbound shipments using stand up forklifts, walk-behinds, and pallet jacks. This role requires English communication, basic math, and the ability to stand for long periods; prior experience with SAP RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse with stand up / reach lift.
• Basic math (addition and subtraction).
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
• Load, unload, pick, put-away, consolidate, stack and stage products with stand up or reach forklift.
• Move product to storage areas with proper equipment.
• Efficiently stack and safely store merchandise in designated area.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble merchandise for shipping.
• Operate stand up / reach forklift at extreme heights.
• Read orders and fulfill orders using SAP RF scanners.
• Check freight for accuracy and damage; report discrepancies.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security and safety.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as directed.
• Operate equipment safely; include pallet jacks and double pallet jacks.
• Report safety malfunctions and comply with OSHA standards.
• Meet distribution center standards and maintain a clean workspace.
• Follow attendance policy and show up on time for shifts.
