Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Kentucky is seeking a Stand-Up Forklift Operator for a first shift Monday through Thursday. The role handles receiving, shipping, transfers and storage of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods using powered industrial trucks in a climate controlled facility.

You will ensure material quality and inventory accuracy, support continuous production, and train co-workers on proper procedures. OSHA safety standards apply throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must obtain industrial truck and lift certification per OSHA standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to team, management, customers and vendors.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; working knowledge of inventory scanning systems.
• 1–2 years experience operating hi-lo/stand-up forklift in manufacturing.
• Read and interpret written and verbal directions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, ships, transfers and stores materials in a safe and organized manner.
• Ensures materials are received and documented accurately.
• Replenishes supplies to production areas as needed.
• Unloads inbound materials and inspects containers for damage.
• Stores goods in designated areas and labels containers correctly.
• Prepares pallets for shipping and rotates materials as needed.
• Trains new employees on procedures and safety.
• Follows attendance policies and performs duties as assigned.
