Job summary

OSI Industries, LLC in California is seeking a Material Handler to move raw materials and finished goods using pallet jacks or forklifts. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, requiring adherence to safety policies and GMP.

Responsibilities include stocking, transferring materials to production, and maintaining a clean, organized work area with proper use of equipment. High school diploma and 0-1 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

• Transfer finished products from the production line to the freezer.
• Offload delivered raw materials and other supplies to storage area; organize according to facility specifications.
• Stack and organize pallets and maintain a clean working area.
• Remove empty pallets from department and ensure safe, organized workspaces.
• Complies with facility and organizational policies governing workplace conduct, safety and GMP.
• Understand and follow safety procedures; participate in training and use protective equipment as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.

Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Ability to follow verbal instructions with accuracy

We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $19.75 to $24.25 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.

Additional Compensation

This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.

Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).

Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.

This role does not require any domestic travel

Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
