Job summary

Searchmasters Inc. in Dallas is seeking a hands-on Lead Tool and Die Maker to steer a team of five maintenance professionals, optimize tool room reliability, and maximize uptime.

You will plan preventative die maintenance, coordinate die set-ups, and drive continuous improvement across stamping tooling, while overseeing sourcing of tooling and outside vendor services.

Candidates should have 5+ years stamping tooling experience and proven leadership; SolidWorks proficiency is highly preferred.

Job Description

• Lead and manage a team of 5 skilled Tool and Die Makers and Maintenance professionals
• Oversee daily tool room operations to ensure optimal tooling reliability and maximize production uptime
• Plan and execute preventative and corrective die maintenance programs to minimize downtime
• Coordinate die set‑ups and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the stamping tool room
• Manage the sourcing and procurement of new tooling, spare parts, and outside vendor services

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in stamping tooling and die operations
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing tool room or maintenance teams
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for navigating and interpreting tooling drawings is highly preferred
