Job summary

Futaba Industrial Texas Corp is seeking a stamping supervisor to lead stamping production, ensure presses and dies are operational, and maintain stock levels. You will train, schedule, coach, and perform performance reviews while upholding ISO 14001 and TS16949 standards and verifiably high safety practices.

This role requires rotating monthly between day and night shifts, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement, meeting production targets, and maintaining a safe work

Position Description:

for ensuring that all presses are operational. Ensures that all parts are stocked. Involved in training, scheduling and coaching team members. Responsible for completing performance reviews. Involved in disciplining and terminating employees. Responsible for tracking attendance of stamping employees. Ensures that needed parts are in stock at all times. Responsible for checking presses and dies daily to ensure that they are functioning correctly. Involved in the scheduling of press operations. This position requires regular and reliable attendance to meet production needs. This position requires following all ISO 14001 and TS16949 standards. This position also requires compliance with quality standards at all times. All employees are responsible for wearing all the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) necessary for the tasks they are performing and/or the location of the building they are located in. All employees are required to perform any job, task, or duty assigned to them, whether or not it is directly related to their specific job title.

  • Identify, implement, and monitor effective corrective actions and countermeasures to meet performance targets.
  • Establish and continuously improve business practices and standard work processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assign and oversee departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives through Team Leaders and key personnel.
  • Support employee growth and development by setting clear expectations, providing challenging opportunities, and encouraging continuous learning.
  • Deliver timely, constructive performance feedback focused on professional growth, skill development, and accountability.
  • Recognize and openly celebrate outstanding performance, positive behaviors, and team achievements.
  • Review stamping inventory levels, develop production plans, and coordinate with Production Control to ensure timely material ordering and availability.
  • Analyze production schedules and work orders to determine inventory needs, staffing requirements, work procedures, and employee assignments while considering budgetary and time constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with and actively support all FIT policies, procedures, safety standards, and company objectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and employee engagement throughout the department.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing all safety regulations and proactively addressing potential hazards.
  • Must be willing and able to rotate monthly between day shift and night shift schedules to support business and production requirements.
EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 2-year college certificate or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and operations
  • Previous stamping experience preferred
