Job summary

Reliance Worldwide is seeking a Stamping Press Operator on the 1st shift in Cullman, Alabama. You will run stamping presses, assist with setup, monitor performance, and ensure safe, efficient production with accurate material handling.

This role requires forklift certification, about two years of manufacturing experience, and knowledge of 250-ton press operations. You will keep work areas clean, document inventory, and support lead with daily tasks and quality control.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience with machinery and equipment.
• Experience with automatic feed punch press lines, tooling and dies up to 250 tons.
• Familiarity with data entry computer skills.
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manufacturing Lead with press efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare presses for start of work and ensure readiness.
• Post all work orders at end of day for the next day.
• Maintain safety standards in the press area.
• Notify Lead of unsafe conditions or improper performance.
• Ensure dies are set up to meet production demand.
• Keep press area clean and orderly throughout the day.
• Maintain organized press area and daily cleanup.
• Empty scrap bins as needed and manage bulk storage.
• Assist Lead with press room inventory and conduct inventories.
• Maintain accurate physical inventory of all products.
• Adhere to company quality standards in press activities.
• Observe production quality; notify Lead of issues and assist with corrections.

Position Overview:

This position supports department objectives by running a stamping press and working alongside press associates in accomplishing their daily tasks to ensure maximum productivity and job safety.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Assist Manufacturing Lead with press efficiency and productivity.
• Assist with preparation for start of work to ensure presses are ready
• Post all work orders at the end of working day for following day
• Ensure safety standards are maintained in the press area.
• Notify Manufacturing Lead of any unsafe conditions or associates not performing work safely or productively
• Ensure dies are set up to meet production demand.
• Ensure press area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain an organized environment in the press area throughout the day
• Ensure daily clean-up of press area
• Ensure scrap bins are emptied as needed
• Ensure bulk storage area is clean and organized at all times
• Assist Lead with press room inventory.
• Conduct press room inventory monthly, quarterly, and yearly (as needed)
• Maintain an accurate physical count on inventory of all products at all times
• Maintain Company quality standards in all press room activities.
• Observe quality of all production leaving the press area
• Notify Lead of quality issues and assist with correction of production quality as necessary

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:

• Two years of manufacturing experience using machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Working knowledge of metal stamping operations to include experience with automatic feed punch press lines, tooling, progressive dies, and quick die changes in presses up to 250 tons (preferred)
• Familiarity with data entry computer skills (preferred)
• This position requires forklift certification.
