Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Machine Operator for its Lebanon, TN facility. This contract-to-hire role focuses on operating progressive, tandem, and transfer presses to bond metal components, inspect quality, and maintain production records.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:15 PM, onsite with overtime potential. The position offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, HSA, transportation benefits, and PTO.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production and machine operation.
  • Ability to operate stamping machines and presses.
  • Mechanically inclined with an understanding of loading machinery.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with inspection and assembly processes.
  • General labor skills including hand tool use, tape measuring, press brake operation, caliper usage, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, missing welds, etc.
  • Measure parts to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Record and report production, quality, and inventory information accurately.
  • Monitor weld machine or press for proper operation and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance.
  • Perform all duties and operate machinery and equipment according to company standards and procedures using required safety equipment.
  • Label and/or tag parts and baskets accurately.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication.
  • Utilize tools such as hand-held pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and die bars.

Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate progressive presses, tandem presses, and transfer presses to bond metal components, produce, verify, stack, and sort metal stampings. This role is integral to maintaining our high standards of quality and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

Work Environment

This position is in a heavy industrial environment with large metal stamping presses. The facility employs several hundred people and is partially climate-controlled. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 1 pm to 9:15 pm, with a 10-minute break and a paid 20-minute lunch. Additional breaks are provided when temperatures are above average. Opportunities for overtime extend the workday until 11:15 pm. The facility has improved ventilation, enhancing workplace comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.58 - $22.58/hr.
