Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Stamping Maintenance Technician to support metal stamping and production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic presses, mechanical presses, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing downtime, conducting preventative maintenance, and performing root-cause analyses to improve reliability. A technical associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred, with strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with stamping presses or heavy industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and root cause analysis techniques.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus but not the primary focus.
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic presses, stamping presses, conveyors, and other production equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production downtime with effective corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement long-term solutions.
• Support tooling, die, and press changeover activities as needed.
• Assist with new equipment installation, startup, and production trials.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and identify critical replacement components.
• Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

This individual will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous production through preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
