Job summary

Phoenix Stamping is seeking a Tool & Die Maintenance Toolmaker for its Fort Worth, TX facility. The role supports dies, punches, tool steel, and fixtures to keep production reliable and safe. You will diagnose die conditions, repair and rework with manual machines, and design fixtures for new product introductions.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, with technical training preferred; CNC knowledge is a plus. Safety and teamwork are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable machinist experience or equivalent
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
  • Working knowledge of CNC programming and equipment maintenance is a plus
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and OSHA standards
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural judgments and collaborate on a team
  • Hands-on draw die experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate die condition using precise measurements to determine repair scope and methods
  • Execute die repairs to restore performance and repeatability
  • Set up and run manual machines (milling, lathe, drill press, grinder) under supervision
  • Design and build tools and fixtures to support new product introductions
  • Document work and prepare fixtures for production launches; hand off notes to next team
  • Comply with OSHA requirements and internal safety standards at all times

With locations in Atlanta, GA; Fort Wayne, IN; and Fort Worth, TX, we continue to expand capabilities with highly automated equipment in a fast-paced, team-centered environment driven by our motto: "Customers first, employees always!"Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:30PM – 7:00AMA Day in the LifeYou arrive to a clean, safety-focused toolroom and start by reviewing work orders for draw-die repairs. You inspect a die with micrometers and gauges, map out the repair plan, and head to the mill and lathe to machine replacement details. Between set-ups, you answer a call from production to troubleshoot a tooling concern at the stamping press, then return to finish grinding and fitting.
