Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia seeks an experienced stamping die mechanic to support maintenance and repair of dies used in high‑volume production.

You will diagnose issues, weld and machine dies, read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in die tryouts to ensure parts meet specifications. Safety, quality, and productivity are top priorities with occasional shift rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related work experience.
• 2+ years in press die or stamping manufacturing.
• 3+ years in press manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain stamping dies and stamping panels to meet specifications.
• Perform die repairs, modifications, and tooling changes as required.
• Weld and machine on stamping dies; inspect for form-ability issues.
• Read blueprints and plan sequences of operations.
• Operate overhead crane and assist tryouts of new dies; ensure parts meet specs.
• Maintain and improve quality and production uptime.
