Job summary

Tetra Pak Processing Equipment in Winsted, MN is seeking a 1st shift Welder to join our fabrication team. You will weld and fabricate stainless-steel equipment for diverse customers, delivering quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read fabrication drawings, perform TIG and MIG welding, operate shop tools, and participate in continuous improvement and World Class Manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma or equivalent in welding/fabrication.
• Previous experience in mechanical related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Ability to lift 50–70 pounds and perform physical work.
• Ability to drive a forklift and use lifting devices.
• Drive for results; fast learner; flexible and adaptable.
• Work well in team and also independently.
• Strong communication skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day production in a safe, efficient manner per plan.
• Fabricate stainless steel equipment for the food industry.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding on sheet and pipe materials.
• Operate general metal shop equipment and tools.
• Conduct process checks per quality requirements.
• Participate in daily improvement activities.
• Engage in multi-skill training and WCM/5S activities.
