Job summary

Solaire Medical Storage LLC is seeking an experienced TIG welder to join our manufacturing team in Michigan. The role focuses on welding stainless steel to tight tolerances, reading detailed prints, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced shop environment.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of welding experience in manufacturing, with TIG experience on stainless steel. MIG and robotic programming experience are valued and may expand responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unscheduled welding related maintenance tasks.

Description

This position performs a variety of functions involved with tig welding stainless steel products, with the goal of manufacturing a quality part. Other responsibilities may include other metal shop jobs/functions.

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

• Hand welding with TIG operations on 11ga, 14ga, 18ga stainless steel.
• Use passivation techniques to clean up welds on “A” surfaces
• Read and understand prints
• Ensure finished product meets quality expectations
• Assist in performing unscheduled welding related maintenance tasks as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized weld area
• Use of metal fabrication tools
• Maintain the company housekeeping standards inside and outside the building.
• Maintain a safe work area.
• Organization and cleanliness of the weld cells and consumables
• Report safety to the appropriate management team member.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have Tig experience working with stainless steel
• Minimum of 3-5 years of welding experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Experience with Mig welding preferred
• Experience with Robotic programing (creating, changing, and touching up programs) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, make sound decisions under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.
