Job Overview

Steel Fab Enterprises Inc., a third-generation family-owned leader in structural steel and miscellaneous metals, is hiring Stainless Steel Welders and Fitters to support operations at our Plant location in Lebanon, PA. This is a hands-on opportunity for skilled professionals to contribute to high-quality steel fabrication projects across the Mid-Atlantic. As a welder/fitter in our fabrication shop, you will produce finished work to specification, assist in daily operations, and uphold our high standards of safety and craftsmanship.

Founded in 1962, Steel Fab Enterprises Inc. has completed over 4,000 steel structure projects across the commercial, industrial, and federal sectors. Our 82,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with advanced technology like Ficep's automated drilling and CNC systems. We operate at 30% capacity, offering long-term stability and room to grow. As a company committed to community, sustainability, and respect, we donate 10% of our profits to local charities and use solar-powered systems to reduce our footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using appropriate techniques.
• Position materials manually or using hoists/cranes.
• Fit, tack, clamp, bend, grind, and bolt steel components as required.
• Examine work for defects and ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Use and maintain hand and power tools common in steel fabrication.
• Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas.
• Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with fabrication processes to ensure project timelines and quality targets are met.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of welding/fitting experience in a fabrication setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, tape measures, and written instructions.
• Certified welders preferred.
• Strong knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs and operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
• Ability to climb, crouch, kneel, and move freely across the shop floor.
