Job summary

Tampco, Inc. is seeking an operator to run TIG welding machinery and related tools in a full-time role. You will learn to weld various tubular and flat stainless steel products, set up fixtures, and join a team that works a 4-day week from Tuesday to Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience operating TIG welding equipment and related tools.
• Willingness to learn to weld various stainless steel shapes.
• Maintain safety while performing welding and finishing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up fixtures and perform welding to complete the process.
• Weld tubular, flat, and other stainless steel products as trained.
• Sand, sharpen tungsten electrodes and use grinders as needed.
• Work solo or in groups; maintain a safe but productive pace.

Job Description

Responsible for operating TIG welding machinery and other tools necessary for the welding process (sanders, grinders, files, etc.) Will be trained to weld various types of tubular, flat, and other shaped stainless steel products.

Daily duties may include: set up of fixtures, welding, sanding, sharpening tungsten electrodes and other duties required to complete the welding process. May work in groups or individually. Employee will generally be in a seated position but may be require to stand for certain jobs. Will be expected to perform at a safe, but productive pace.

This is a full -time position. We offer a 4-day work week Tuesday- Friday 7:00am-5:30pm, great benefits, major medical, vision, dental, life insurance vacation pay, short term disability, cancer, accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and bereavement pay.
